Should I sack the maid?

I have a maid who I think is stealing. She irons well and cleans the house like a dream. I've only had her a week but I've noticed that money has started going AWAL. Should I sack her or talk to her and give her a second chance? My 4yr old son is scared of her....out of the mouths of babes and sucklings!!??

Should I sack the maid?
Forget the stealing. If my kids are affraid of anyone, they're gone!
Reply:Fire her. If she's stolen, and you give her a second chance, she'll do it again, and then leave and be nowehere to be found. Many people clean well.
Reply:Yeah, if your son is scared of her, then maybe you should give her the pink slip, sack her, give her her walking papers.
Reply:I would ask her straight out did she see the money that you though you left it there. Maybe she moved it.

I had a maid and I thought she was taking money I marked the bills and found out my son took the money and blamed the maid. I would not leave my child with someone he scared of she could be hitting him.
Reply:GET HER OUT OF YOUR HOUSE!!! NOW!!!!

THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS THAT PARENTS DONT LISTEN TO THEIR TODDLERS!! LISTEN TO YOURS, AND LET HER GO TODAY NOW!!!

SHE COULD BE DOING OTHER THINGS THAT MAKES YOUR CHILD SCARED!!!

YOUR CHILD SHOULD NOT BE SCARED OF ANYONE IN YOUR HOME. IT IS TO BE SAFE FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILD. HE NEEDS TO KNOW HE IS SAFE. AND THAT YOU WILL DO THIS FOR HIM!!!!

HE IS SILENTLY(BY SHOWING HE IS SCARED) TELLING YOU!!!

YOUR CHILD SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH ANYONE YOU HIRE TO BE IN YOUR HOME FOR ANY REASON!!!

THE MAID OR ANYONE ELSE SHOULD LIKE YOUR CHILD, AND IN TURN, YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO LIKE THAT PERSON ALSO, IF NOT THEN ITS NOT THE RIGHT MATCH(PERSON) TO BE IN YOUR HOME!!!!

GET HER OUT NOW!!! TODAY!!!! THIS SECOND!!!!!!! PLEASE.!!!!!!
Reply:If you son is afraid of her, he may have caught her stealing and she threatened him if he told - 4 year olds generally get along with everyone - so there is something definitely wrong here.

I would say sack her - and tell her that you simply don't need her services anymore.

If you accuse her of stealing, then she may think that your son told on her.

Good Luck!
Reply:Yes. If your child is scared of her, its not good to have her around. Your son feeling safe in his own home is much more important than how she cleans.
Reply:Why is your son afaraid of her? I wouldn't fire her for stealing unless you have proof, but I would fire her for frightening your son.
Reply:fire her now!!!
Reply:give her a tight slap on her face and then sack her
Reply:I would tell her that you like her work alot, but money has been dissapearing since she has been there, I wouldn't outright accuse her, but would ask her if she has moved it. (I used to clean, and when I would find money, I would get it altogether and put it in one place I thought someone would notice it) Maybe she has done that, or maybe she has taken it, if it magically appears next visit, you know she took it, if she moved it, she will tell you where she has put it. But if she is taking it, she would have to go, you need to trust the people in your house.
Reply:well if u were to talk to her she isn't going to admint to stealin from you. And if feel ur son doesn't like her well then get rid of her.. There are plently more that will do the same job
Reply:nope, fire her. No affair
Reply:try this..innocently leave 50 dollars(or whatever currency) on a table and "forget" about it.see if the cash is still there after the maid does her work.also try to check her credentials with her former employees.

she may be stealing,so try to catch her red handed,or if more stuff is going awal, sack her quickly.good help can always be found.
Reply:YO! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??????
Reply:Get rid of her. There are plenty of people who are looking for jobs that are honest.
Reply:kids can over dramatise things too! to you follow in them footsteps. Try talking to the maid and if it happens again, well.... then sack her! ( are you sure it isnt your son?)
