My dress is ivory, and i wanted the maid of honour to wear gold. What colour can my bridesmaids wear to match

I am getting married in June 2007. I have chosen an ivory dress. I would like maid of honour to wear a gold/champagne dress, but I don't know what colour match with this for my bridesmaids. I was thinking of cream, but am really not sure. I have a little flowergirl, and I thought she would look nice in a cream dress with a gold ribbon around the waist. But what do the older ones wear. Please help what matches?

a natural color, like bronze or a shade of brown
Reply:ivory don't ruin the clothes to much if you won't wear them don't make them. Hope i helped also go online and some have color sample you can change the dresses into.

Reply:The flower girl could match the maid of honor and perhaps the bridesmaids could wear forest green or some dark color (black?) to offset the lighter dresses that you, the maid of honor and the flower girl are wearing. What you want to avoid is several differenet shades of white (cream, ivory, bone, etc.) as this will look like you attempted to match up the colors and failed. Reply:although i love cream, i don't think it would be the best choice because it is close to the color of your dress... instead i think your maid of honour should wear gold and your bridesmaids should wear a very dark purple or navy blue... and your flowergirl could wear that same color dark purple or navy blue with either an ivory ribbon to match your dress or a gold ribbon to match the bridesmaids' dresses.. to get an idea of the color i am talking about go to... sherwin williams, home owner, color, and the color is Majestic Purple
Reply:If you really mean gold as in the color of Christmas ornaments then wine is a beautiful match and will add a touch of elegance to your color scheme. That or even a deep emerald green would work.
Reply:Cream would work but it is too close to ivory and soft neutral color would work. Their dress color could be the same just let the design be different
