"something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" Who sorts this out?

who sorts out the "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" for the wedding day? is it the bride or maid of honour?

"something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" Who sorts this out?
Ultimately it's the bride, but she can ask for help from her maids, friends, and family.
Reply:The bride, mother of the bride, best friend or any of the bridemaids.

A close friend who couldn't make my wedding gave me the something borrowed.
Reply:bride
Reply:I think the bride and her maid of honor. I did my sisters for her wedding. But I'm doing mine for my wedding.

Perls from my soon to be grandmother in law (borrowed)

Blue on my garter

my dress was giving to me (old)

my shoes, veil, and slip are (new)
Reply:Typically the bride - but if you need help - ask your bridesmaids and family!

Mine was:

Old: handmaid irish lace made by my gg grandmother (I wore it in my hair)

New: my jewelry and dress

Borrowed: the penny that I carried with me in my shoe

Blue: I had a blue flower sewn into my garter
Reply:bride I think?! now you have me thinking!!
Reply:When I married, my mother and my sister (MOH) did it.

My jewelry was both my "borrowed" and "old" - it was from my great-grandmother's wedding and had been passed down a long way. My sister made me a beautiful blue garter (which I couldn't bear to have thrown, so she made me a throwaway one as well) and my dress was new.
Reply:The bride.
Reply:The bride I think, but your mother can help too. I am using 1 item for something old/borrowed, so I knocked out 2 of them with one thing!
Reply:The bride.

Here is what I did:

Something Old: My adoptive mother's locket

Something New: A new charm for my charmbracelett

Something Borrowed: I borrowed earrings from my twin sis

Something Blue: I wore blue eyeshadow
Reply:I always thought it was the Bride, however you have people who will want to help for example my mother wanted to give me something old, my fiancee sister in law wants me to borrow her head piece she wore at her wedding something new well that could be alot of things but I have chosen my dress and something blue well I will carry my rosary beads as they are blue crystals.

Make sure with the something borrowed that you borrow it from someone who has a happy marriage as its a symbol them lending something to you to pass on the happiness that person shares in their marriage.
Reply:I believe it used to be a the MOH but i really want to make sure that i have it sorted out so I, the bride, am doing it.
Reply:I'm having all new things
Reply:The bride takes care of it ahead of time. You dont want to be scurrying around to collect these things on your wedding day. I had my grandmothers earings on, a new wedding dress, I borrowed the hoop skirt slip from my sister in law and had a blue garter that my MOH gave me. The other part of this rhyme is a penny in her shoe for good luck.
Reply:the bride. Dont forget at the end of all that " and something shiny for your shoe". I guess its supposed to be a good luck penny.
Reply:Usually the maid of honor would help with this, or the brides mom or family. I got mine at my shower from the girls in the wedding, and the garter from my mom
