I'm a Maid of Honour. What's a suitable gift for the Bride (my sister)?

My eldest sister is getting married in September. My older sister and I are both, Matron and Maid of Honor. We are going to split on a nice gift to give her on her wedding day. We'll probably spend $200-$300. Any ideas?

I'm a Maid of Honour. What's a suitable gift for the Bride (my sister)?
Something personalized is always a good gift. A throw blanket with their name and marriage date on it. Someone made a blanket for my husband and I, she sent cloth hearts to the people we are most closest to and they wrote special saying on them. They had instructions to send them back to her and she sewed the hearts onto the blanket. In the middle it had out names and marriage date on it. We hang the blanket on the wall in our den. Everyone reads it when they come over and think it is such a treasure!

Another great gift would be to make a "through the years" photo albums of the three of you growing up and leave a space at the end to add a photo of the three of you from her wedding.

Good Luck and Have Fun!
Reply:Check her bridal registry first. But I say home electronics are the way to go...how 'bout an X-Box 360?
Reply:Something really special will be $99, starting at that price... A painting of something she loves, or related to that special day for her.

Anything goes in painting, all are good. Simple send a pic to http://www.paintyourlife.com/ online, and they deliver your painting.

Reply:Get something personalized. Check out orientaltrading.com for a lot of affordable personalized gifts or personalcreations.com for tons more. GOOD LUCK.
Reply:A photo of the three of you turned into a painting - you could try your local art college - some talented young artist would do it for that money. If not, have a phot enlarged with a beautiful, expensive frame.
Reply:How about a digital picture frame. You and your sister can load the frame with pictures of you all growing up and of her and her husband to be??? They really are beautiful and very thoughtful......
Reply:How about you get an old picture of the 3 of you and have it blown up to an 8x10 and get a nice frame that you can have something engraved on the bottom of the frame. Or you and your sister that is in the wedding can go and have a new pic taken and have it framed. Best of luck ! And I'm sure whatever you get her she will LOVE!

Reply:Try something you think she could use for herself. Maybe a gift certificate to a spa or some pedicures pre-paid or a gift certificate for a makeover hair, makeup, nails.
Reply:Something I think is really cool is a starter grocery basket. Things she will need in her new home that you don't buy everyday, like spices, flour, sugar, staple items. It's a really nice gift because setting up a new home is expensive!
Reply:Spend money on having makeup, hair, and nails professionally done on your sister´s special day. This was money worth spending for me because I looked fabulous. I didn´t really recognize myself, and have never spent this much on having things like this done. My sister´s helped with the cost, and believe me, when I look at the video and pictures I smile every time.
Reply:a nice bathroom set, like all the towels, toothbrush holders, all those type things
Reply:So many choices, and what Sweet sisters you are !!!! Waterford crystal from Ireland is a Wonderful choice, so many different pieces to pick from, beautiful goblets, candlestick holders, vases, etc. Something you would cherish forever, probably would never buy for yourself, would become a family heirloom. Gold silverware with their initial on, so classy!, think of the two of you on every Special dinner that they use them ! How about going to a really nice clock shop, and buying a Beautiful chiming clock, something to pass on to their children someday.

A Wonderful Painting !, by a artist!

This has to be something that never in their wildest dreams would they ever spend this money on this gift for themselves. Happy Hunting !!!
