hi im looking 4name of old movie sorry not much to go by but was about african maid who lived wit white family she had a halfcast daughter who went off the rails at the very end of the movie the mother died and wen her coffin was being driven her daughter ran after it and was screaming mama think the daughter was beaten up by a guy in some scene??? head wrecker!!! please help

Reply:OOOOH That is the beautiful ''Imitation of Life'' with Lana Turner. Such a moving film. Susan Kohner played the girl (she retired from acting in '74).


Juanita Moore played her Mother. She was totally wonderful. (she is still alive).


At the end, when the girl goes to her Mum's coffin, I had tears rolling down my face. A very, very painful moment.
