Finding a nanny urgently for single Mum of 3-month old baby girl?

Hi all,





I'm helping my friend here. She's a single Mum of a 3-month-old baby girl, and she's urgently looking for a full-time nanny for her baby. Her maid's quitted on her suddenly without preempt, and my friend works shifts as a Registered Nurse. Can anyone point us in any direction for a good, reliable, and affordable (she's supporting herself and her baby as her ex-husband's currently not paying alimony) nanny for her?

Reply:I can understand what she must be going through at this point of time. Even my sister had the same problem. And i had to assist her for 3 months before I had to join in for a full-time job. So thats when I began hunting for a childcarer in my area. I spread the word around hoping I would be able to advertise this vacancy through word-of-mouth, but it didn't really help. So I researched the web and came across some agencies having their branch in my town. I contacted 2-3 of them hoping for positive results. Luckily I came across a childcare agency that helped me/my sister through the entire hiring process i.e the background checks, the interviews, and advised us even about nanny-salary. I guess that would be quite a good way to start looking out for someone reliable and affordable especially since these nannies come with good references.

I love kids and have worked in various nurseries in the past but i'm not qualified though. i have 4 children myself so i guess you could say i'm qualified really!!
