Life is whatever you decide to make of it. Find some mates or join a community group and find a partner.
Gay at 48 years old 6 " 4 .and 18 stone ? no partner , do i just sit back and be an old (maid)?
I'm 36 and it seems like I'm gonna be lonely for the rest of my life. Someone said to go out and make contact. Well... I have gone out an met people and what not. Then I'll get the e-mail from them saying "had a good time, hope we can do it again". Yada Yada Yada! I take tht as they at the very least want to be friends, but yet they never return calls or e-mails. It's really sad that so called adults have to play such games.
Reply:Go to an online site and you are never to old to find someone
Reply:Well darling the world is full of lonely people, drop me a line you never know, two old maids could become a partnership, mind you you are a bit tall for me, but as i always say 'if your laying on your back, we are all the same'
Reply:Life is not a spectator sport. Get out there and make some contact.
Reply:Work out what you want from life, and then set yourself a plan to help achieve this. You could be and live as an 'old (maid)', if this is what you'd like, but I'm guessing that you're asking the question because you'd prefer something different - not that it is right for anyone else to tell you how your life should be.
You're still relatively young and have a lot of potential in your future life. You mention 2 things, your weight and that you're single. Both of these things are not fixed in stone, and can change the way that you want them to. There are guys who prefer larger build guys, so even if you don't change your weight, you could still create a relationship.
Your body weight may be in the clinically obese category, or nearing it, and your future health might potentially benefit from a healthier lifestyle, and a lower weight. You could find out about weight management programmes from a range of sources, including your doctor, the internet, library etc. Overall, ensure that you're getting good levels of exercise, as this coupled with diet optimisation, is likely to be the better option for longer-term success. Incorporate someone else into your future life, if this is what you want, setting goals accordingly, and actively setting in motion a plan that is more likely to achieve this, than just 'sitting back'.
But, first start with working out your main goals, and set some intermediate goals along the way. This way your life can be more purposeful, and go in the direction that you want - it's also more under your control, and you're less subject to being a passive 'bystander'.
Hope these thoughts help. Good luck! Rob
