After what age is a single woman considered an old maid?

Back in the 18th and 19th centuries 21 was generally an old maid age.


Now I say it's probably 40 years old.


That's around the time marriage and baby making prospects dimmer.

the age when they can't do anything and can't have kids anymore. When its a point in there life when they dont have fun and they dont go anywhere..its depends on the life style that person has.

Reply:Age is just a number. I feel a woman should get educated and not marry before the age of twenty five after 25 they seem to change drastically ( in a physical way ) 30 is good age to marry and have children up to 40 yrs old so I think most would say that 40 years old would be the age of calling a woman without children and never marring would be an old maid. But for me 40 yr old women are just starting to reach their prime and an old maid would be 73 yr old!
