Is a french maid outfit OK for a 13 year old to wear?

I have a teen and she wants to be a French maid. Will she look like a "hooker" or is she to young? I NEED ADVISE.

Unless she's standing out on a street corner and walking up to every car that stops, she won't look like a hooker.

Reply:It depends who her friends are. I know that sounds ridiculous, but some groups of 13 year olds are more mature, and will be wearing it for the reasons of showing off thier body, whereas others jsut want to wear it because.


It really just depends on who she is..oh, and where she's going! If its out for halloween trick or treating, then its probably no big deal. If she's going to a big party of a highschool dance, probably not a great idea. Although I don't know why a13 year old would be attending big parties, who knows these days!

but if you don't like it i would suggest that you suggest she be a princess or beauty queen (those never get old). Something where she can be pretty and girly but show less skin.

Reply:I would say no. I know that times have changed and children are growing up way toooo fast, but that should be no excuse to give in to your child's demands. To me, even as a 17 year old, that is just a suggestive look that a thirteen year old doesn't need to be wearing yet. It might make others think twice about your parenting skills as well if you allow her to wear it.
Reply:I think shes to young because the French maid look is a bit naughty and has a sexual tone to the outfit. Even if it doesn't look "hookerish" boys definetley know that look represents a naughty and playful sexual look. More adult than for kids. So I would say no to it and try for another look more targeted to her age group.

Reply:Way too young. French maid outfits basically imply sexuality unless you live in France and your occupation is as a maid. In the good ol' USofA it has become something of a fetish of anonymous sexual encounters. I would say no. It's not that it's too revealing (well it may be that too, esp. for a 13 year old), just the implications of the outfit.
