Old is the sun and it still shines. Ugliness is within. Being single is at times a gift. Enjoy being single and work on beautifying your inner self. Start ignoring those who who call you "old maid".
Reply:Someone call you an old maid? old maids don't have to be ugly. I don't know where they got this idea from. Actually where this term came from was the term they used to describe ladies in waiting for the queen and the children. these women would often dedicate their entire lives to the care of the royal children. by the time the kids grew up, the age of them made it impossible for them to have any kids of their own. they often would stay to help train the new ladies in waiting. thus the term old maid. Simply there now to clean up the left over mess. So if someone has called you an old maid you only have to live up to one thing. Cleaning up the mess of the royal children. Since there are none in this country you have nothing more to do. Enjoy your life and tell these people to grow up.
Reply:To be a "maid" one must be a servant. Being ugly is something anyone can do without serving and many single people are happily single, by choice. Therefore, name-calling and age discrimination will only identify the name caller as an ignorant *** hole.
Reply:If you define yourself totally on what others say you are, then you could end up a tee shirt, wash in cold water, hanes, just really a bunch of labels. Be yourself and you may not stay an old maid forever.
