At what age are you considered an "old maid" or "old batch"?
I agree with the others that believe this is an outdated myth. It has no place in the 21st Century. This represents a self-destructive mind-set that you choose or reject. I recommend rejecting it and seeing any person as 'complete' whether married or not.

Reply:In this day and age, I would guess that half of the adult population is a unmarried...sooo when do we become old is the next question...and that is personal...some of us are old before we hit 35 then there are 90 year olds that can run circles around the 50 year olds...attitude has a lot to do with this...so there is no hard and fast answer...depends on who you are looking at....dont look my way either.

Reply:If you clean for a living and are a member of the elderly population. Or AARP... (Kidding!) You're never considered an old maid in today's culture. If you are a visitor from another century, then 'old maid' would have been anywhere from age 14-18, depending on the part of the country in which you reside, assuming you're living in the US in this scenario.
